Politicians behind probes' snail pace in Fiza, Geetika death cases

The much hyped deaths of Geetika Sharma and then Fiza Mohammad aka Anuradha Bali definitely raise questions over their political link and probably that are the causes behind their demise. Both the ladies fell prey to the politicians. The former having relationships with ex minister Gopal Kanda while the latter tying the knot with Chand Mohammad. Now, Fiza'a postmortem report has revealed a number of other points that can be kept under scanner.

Be in Nupur Mehta's revelation or dead 'Bali's' autopsy report, it clearly reflects that something is fishy in their deaths.
When nation is awakening to women empowerment, mysterious death of Anuradha Bali alias Fiza Mohammad and alleged suicide of Geetika Sharma have again brought ugly face of nefarious power-glamour cocktail in front of masses.

With involvement of powerful politicians and top notch people, matter seems to be moving at snail's pace. It is to be noted that the incidents are related to powerful politicians of Punjab and Haryana.

The issues which remained on the media spotlight for more than two weeks seem to be downplayed. All this raises serious suspicion over these deaths and powerful lobbyists and their influence.

Chandra Mohan Bishnoi alias Chand and Gopal Kanda are the two names who with their power influenced both Bali and Geetika and exploited them mentally and physically. Today, Kanda though is under the judicial custody, but he allegedly is using his intact sources to affect the Geetika Sharma suicide case.

The mystery behind suspicious death of Anuradha Bali has yet to be unraveled but facts emanating from new developments are very shocking. Postmortem reports say that there is nothing found to relate her death to suicide.

The police had discovered her dead, decomposed body after three days after neighbors complained of emerging foul smell from her house. Fiza’s uncle had informed police about her death. With not getting anything from her postmortem report, the police have sent her viscera for examination. The real cause of her death could be ascertained only after getting final report from Hyderabad.

When police recovered Fiza's body, they had refuted reports regarding marks of any injuries on her body. Police had also informed that body is three to four days old. Initial investigations have informed that the case appears to be suicide but possibility of foul play cannot be ruled out altogether.

Anuradha Bali was the former Assistant Advocate General of Haryana who left her employment to marry Mohan in December 2008.

Fiza, who had a controversial married life with former Haryana deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan, was found dead in her house in Sector-48 of Mohali Town, under mysterious circumstances.

The Punjab Police found Fiza's body from her house in Sector 48 of Mohali town near Chandigarh.

Both Fiza and Chander Mohan came to limelight after they changed their religion and married according to Muslim customs. Chander Mohan also changed his name to Chand Mohammad.

The conversion was merely trying to facilitate a legal second marriage, as Hindus/Sikhs are not allowed multiple marriages in India. Some Muslim clerics protested the misuse of the tenets of Islam for a marriage of convenience.

On 29 January 2009, Mohan left Fiza, claiming that he still loved his first wife and his children and wanted to reunite with them. He is believed to have moved to the Haryana city of Gurgaon at that time.

He converted back to Hinduism and was readmitted to the Bishnoi community at a brief ceremony held at the Bishnoi Mandir in Hisar on 28 July 2009 in presence of religious leaders.

An alleged blackmailing by powerful politicians could be one of the reasons and high profile involvement can be behind this. Her alleged involvement with judges, big businessmen and influential people’s and subsequent blackmail could be behind her death.

Fiza’s death suspense intensified further when police during their investigation had found one crore Rs amount from her room and one and half KG gold ornaments were recovered from her place. This led to the question that from where they received this cash and jewels.

Here we want to raise this issue only that what was the fault of these women in this high profile murder mystery. Are their connection with political leaders was their only fault.

The woman reached top level of power corridors where political leaders after spending their entire life are unable to reach. Whether it can be associated with power’s impact or money earned with their easy access to high echelon of power.

There are new revelations in Geetika Sharma murder case every day. Nupur Mehta, an actress and key witness in the case has made startling disclosures. Nupur stated that Kanda was impressed with her at first sight.

When she had come to appear for an interview then her age was only 17 and was studying in class 10. Nupur said despite of her age she was fit for crew member post. He was watching interview from CCTV. He called Nupur and asked her to keep Geetika on job.

Special police commissioner (Law and Order) Dharmendra Kumar said that they will file case against Kanda for destroying the evidence. He said that he is keeping all evidences in Geetika murder case. However, the question crops up that what are his sources who are helping him to operate from prison.

Being high profile case, it seems that media is also losing its interest from it and issue has taken up the backseat. These cases are moving at their usual sluggish pace.

Fiza's former husband Bishnoi is moving scot-free. However, the family members of these are going through a lot of mental stress. They are hopeful that they will be bringing justice to their daughter.

However, the question remains unanswered is whether girls coming close to politicians face the same fate. But a close look at Indian politics reveals that all such cases met the same fate of 'Anuradha' and 'Geetika'.
